Artscape Salon next Wed May 7th

The Artscape Salon is coming up next Wed May 7th.
I'm again participating as one of the featured salon guests.
Whoops my head is cut off. :-)
he he.

There's a fantastic list of guests this year including Principal dancer of the National Ballet of Canada Sonia Rodriguez, Actor David Sutcliffe Fine artist + Illustrator Gary Taxali, Director of the AGO Matthew Teitelbaum and musician Maylee Todd. (and me... with a full head!)

The evening:
During the cocktail hour you'll mix and mingle, and have a chance to purchase art + auction items. Next, while you dine on a fantastic 4 course menu, the 20 speakers will move from table to table in a speed-dating-like format (ooh ahh)  igniting conversations with all guests about topics at the intersection of art and the city.

Next Wed May 7th
6pm - 10pm
Artscape Wychwood Barns

It's gonna be fun. Watcha waiting for?

New Eloise print

My new Eloise print is now complete.
She was printed on two different papers:

Eloise printed on Cream Somerset paper.
This paper has a lovely weight (300 GSM) and has a great texture and deckle edge.

Eloise printed on White BFK Rives paper.
This paper also has a very good weight (270 GSM) with a smooth finish and deckle edge.
This photo gives a good idea of the deckle edge.

Eloise measures 9" x 12"
She is part of an edition of 40 and is numbered and signed.
She is 150.00 and is available now in my shop.

Below are some process shots.

Mixing the orange ink for Eloise purse.
(trying to match it to the print out)
Print after Pass 1 (grey) and Pass 2 (orange) are completed
Registering (figuring out the placement) of the 3rd pass with the acetate.

Applying the black ink to the screen for the final pass.
Completed print!

Globe and Mail: My favourite Room

In yesterday's Globe and Mail my livingroom appeared in Deidre's Kelly's My favourite room column. You can read the online version here.

This photo originally appeared in Covet Garden magazine.
Thanks to Co-editors Lynda Felton + Jessica Reid for styling the room and Jodi Pudge for taking such a gorgeous shot.

If you'd like to see the rest of my home (and a bunch of other really interesting + creative spaces) you outta pick up a copy of Covet Garden!  You can buy here or here.
