Design Exchange party

An incredible party last night at the Design Exchange for the opening of their new show 6o Years of Designing the Ballet + The Tutu Project.
The party took place on the Historic Trading floor of the Former Stock Exchange. What a space.
Check out those windows!

Manhattan Bound....

Today I packed up my Green Brooks brothers suit + Big Brogue shoe prints for a stylish fella in NYC.
I love the thought of them hanging in a home on Lexington Ave. :-)
FYI I also love Fed Ex for always delivering my prints safely! Their big tubes shaped like giant Toblerone bars are perfect for shipping art worldwide.

Tommy Smythe includes Tea towels in Top Canadian design Faves

Tommy Smythe promoting Canadian design on the Marilyn Dennis show July 2 2012.
(Aren't his tortoise shell glasses + windowpane jacket sharp?)
Close up of the Tea Towels

Arren Williams just let me know that Tommy Smythe did a special feature promoting Canadian Design on the Marilyn Dennis show this past Tuesday.. and in it he included the Hudson's Bay designer series tea towels. (!!)

As many of my friends - (and fellow Pinteresters!) know I've been an admirer of Tommy's style - both in interior design + fashion - for a long time so must admit this was a thrill. (Yes I'm corny)
Thanks so much Arren + Tommy.
Full version of my tea towel.

ps. Thrilled to report there will be more Hudson Bay products coming down the pipe!!
Stay tuned.

Creative Morning with Paddy Harrington was great

Am rushing off to silk screen!

The quote I scribbled above is:
"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant.
We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift"
- Albert Einstein
YEP.
Here are my notes from Paddy's Harrington's talk complete with sketches of Colleen Nicholson's legs and great Chanelish flats!
One of his main messages was Trust that your Intuitive brain is churning away at the problem all the time!
More later. Very inspirational.
