Last Thursday evening counted as an A+ evening for me: one filled with interesting + fun company, great conversation + beautiful interiors. The occasion was the launch of Karen Von Hahn's new book What Remains and the setting was the fantastic Bar Lala within the new Lena restaurant.
The writer Karen von Hahn and my dear friend Andrew Poulos
If you're an Interior Design lover I highly reco you make an excuse to visit Lena (designed by Toronto based Design Agency) Bar Lala on the lower level of the restaurant is intimate + lush with purple velvet seats, small marble table and lots of warm brass accents. It's design encourages conversation and is the perfect spot for an intimate cocktail!
One of the biggest design statements is the washroom corridor. Check out that exotic wallpaper with parrots plus the zebra-tiled floors. Fantastic.
Nathalie Atkinson (above )wore the most fantastic earrings - which she said were an homage to Karen Von Hahn's larger - than - life mother Susan Young. Other fun guests included Interior Designers Kate Thornley Hall + Tommy Smythe, Cinnamon bun Queen Queen Amy Rosen, House + Home Senior Editor Kimberley Brown and Lego Artist Raymond Girard.
